We are truly living in perilous times ladies and gentlemen. I encourage you to search the scriptures for yourself so that you will be able to discern the many false teachings that are out there today. Follow the Lord and his word, rather than the words of mere men.
“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick (living) and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” (2 Timothy 4:1-4)
The topic of the eternal security of the believer is an interesting topic indeed. In this short article I examine the teaching of Charles Stanley (Atlanta, GA) and compare it with the simple teaching of Jesus Christ regarding those who are cast into the furnace of fire. Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times SOME shall DEPART from THE FAITH, giving heed to SEDUCING SPIRITS, and DOCTRINES OF DEVILS. (1 Timothy 4:1) This is a very interesting passage of scripture. The Jewish apostle Paul, the same one who was converted on the road to Damascus, and a former murderer of Christians, wrote those words. Paul knew what it was like to be deceived . . .
When I was born again at the age of thirty six, I began to speak out against the FALSE teachings of the Roman Catholic church. As a former Roman Catholic I know without a shadow of a doubt, that I would have ended up in HELL, because I did NOT know the real Jesus Christ. There are countless millions of Roman Catholic people who attend their Catholic Mass every week, or even every day that are in the same LOST spiritual condition that I was in . . .
First of all I would like to address the issue of the numerous judgments in scripture. If any person reads their Bible and they listen to how the Lord Jesus Christ taught, they know that the Lord spoke with an urgency in His voice, encouraging the people to be prepared for his coming. When the Lord spoke about judgment, he always made a clear distinction between those who were saved, and those who were not. The Lord did not hold back the truth about Hell either, as most modern day Pastors in user friendly churches do. You do not get the sense that there would be several different judgments when you browse through the Gospel accounts. The Lord made it known that He would be coming again and He also made it super clear that He was absolutely the ONLY WAY to Heaven. If you miss that, then you miss everything! Keep in mind that the Lord Jesus Christ is perfect and He never fails. You do not want to miss it when it comes to salvation and judgment . . .
There are millions of people who follow the teachings of a man named C.I Scofield, and he is best known for the Scofield Bible which incorporated his notes right along with the scriptures from God’s Word. Many of those millions have so memorized Scofields teachings (just a man), that you would think that it was the scriptures (God’s Word) themselves that they were quoting. William Cox was formerly numbered among those who were deceived by the Scofield Bible for many years, until he realized that it was complete heresy! C.I.Scofield (and his Bible) has led millions astray with his dispensational teachings concerning modern day Israel . . .
I am going to address the truth about Israel and their continued rejection of Jesus as the Christ (Messiah), for almost 2000 years! I am writing this because we are living in a day when Christians by the millions have been hoodwinked, and brainwashed, into supporting those who clearly proclaim that Jesus Christ is a FALSE Messiah, and certainly NOT the Son of God. Folks this is very important because that was the exact same attitude that the Jewish people had when Jesus Christ himself preached to the Jews when he walked this Earth . . .
The term “Synagogue of Satan” is a term which the Lord Jesus Christ used twice in the book of Revelation, and it is something that we need to be aware of. The Lord did not hesitate to associate false believers with our adversary Satan, and therefore the true minister of Jesus Christ should not hold back that same truth to please any group of people. It is very important also that you notice the Lord used that term when he addressed certain churches in the book of Revelation. In the first instance the Lord was speaking to the church at Smyrna: And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (Revelation 2:8-10) . . . First of all the Lord brings great comfort to the true Christians that were part of the church at Smyrna. Jesus let them know that he was the “first and the last” which is speaking of the deity of Christ. (Isaiah 44:6) the same one who was dead but was now alive. The true Christian is blessed in knowing that the very same Jesus Christ who died, rose again, and ascended into heaven is now alive forevermore, and that he is the same “first and last” which the prophet Isaiah spoke about. (Revelation 1:17-18, 2:8)
It never ceases to amaze me what I hear being preached on the airwaves in this modern day. I came across an interview (on YouTube) in which Pat Robertson (700 Club) was being interviewed by a man named Michael Eisner. Being a Christian myself, I was curious as to what Pat would say to this man regarding the salvation of his soul. I must confess that I what I heard was truly amazing to me on the one hand, but on the other hand, I was not totally surprised, because I have heard similar things before. In that interview I did not hear Pat Robertson preach repentance and salvation in the name of Jesus Christ (Luke 24:47), nor did I hear Pat Robertson tell Michael Eisner that Jesus Christ was the ONLY name by which he might be SAVED! (Acts 4:10-12, John 14:6, Romans 1:16) It was evident in the conversation, that Mr Eisner did have some sort of interest as to where he was going to spend eternity, but I did not hear that “Gospel sound” that one hears when they read through their Bible. If a person is a Christian, and one who has been truly born again of the Spirit, then they know that ALL people must come through Jesus Christ. It was Jesus Christ Himself who told his followers to preach repentance and forgiveness of sins in His name, after He had risen from the dead! (Luke 24:47) Jesus told His followers at that same time, to begin preaching the Gospel message at Jerusalem, obviously to the Jewish people FIRST . . .
Lets take another look at John Hagee’s incredible statement: “I believe that every Gentile person can only come to God through the cross of Christ. I believe that every Jewish person who lives in the light of the Torah, which is the word of God, has a relationship with God and will come to redemption.” That statement by John Hagee is an absolute smack in the face of Jesus Christ and a betrayal of the Gospel itself. Jesus Christ was slain on the cross for our sins, and it is only HIS BLOOD that will justify any human being on earth before Him. (Romans 5:6-10) Hagee has a DIFFERENT plan of salvation for the Jewish people who live in light of the Torah. Jesus made it clear in John 5:37-43, that the Torah testified about HIM, and yet they (the Jewish people) would not come to HIM for salvation! . . .
Cathy and I were driving eastbound on Jamaica Avenue in Queens, NYC one day when we spotted a street preacher We pulled over to listen to the man who was standing on the corner of Springfield Blvd, and Jamaica Ave. We heard the preacher say this to the people: “I am just little Danny, and I am just a messenger here to deliver your mail. What you do with your mail is your business, I am just a messenger.” . . . The word ANTICHRIST is mentioned four different times by the apostle John in the Bible, and I am going to take a look at all four of those references. We can get a very good understanding of what the ANTICHRIST spirit is all about by studying these scripture verses. It is entirely up to you what you want to do with these verses of scripture, I am just a messenger . . .
The main point that I want to address here is that the angel told John that the “testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” This is a very powerful and true statement which was made, and it simply means that the whole prophetic word of God will point to the person of Jesus Christ. If a person is searching the scriptures with a sincere and open heart, then the Spirit of truth will point them to Jesus Christ. [John 15:26,16:13] . . . The question remains though, as to whether a person is sincerely searching for the truth. Do not forget that this same apostle John suffered greatly for the “testimony of Jesus” as the following verse tells us: “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the TESTIMONY of JESUS CHRIST. ” (Revelation 1:9) . . .
